The advertisement is from Safe Ride Solutions (SRS); a well-respected and established designated driver and DUI prevention service. SRS is conducting a special program in cooperation with the National Football League (NFL) to provide designated drivers to the NFL players (Note: this position DOES NOT involve the exercise of police powers nor does it entail performing bodyguard/security/taxi services for the client[s]. If your retirees are HR 218 qualified, they can carry their pistols pursuant to their concealed weapons permits but are reminded that they are not performing bodyguard/security services.). The client provides the vehicle for transportation to and from the entertainment venue (in terms of liability, the individual NFL player is legally responsible for maintaining the proper insurance on his vehicle and the drivers are indemnified by SRS). Once the NFL player is dropped off at his domicile, the driver calls SRS and s/he will be ferried back to their personal vehicle. Pay rates start at $30 per hour for a minimum of six (6) hours.
